This is usually a one-event service. The real planning happens before the appointment: references, accessories, preparation, comfort, weather, and whether a trial makes sense.

The look depends on painful tension, heavy added hair, specialist work outside of my services, or a shape your current length and condition can't support.

• Share realistic reference images that show the front, side, and back.
• Bring accessories when requested.
• Disclose extensions, chemical history, breakage, scalp sensitivity, or headaches from tight styles.
• Follow the salon’s current preparation instructions.

• Clients seeking a longer-lasting texture change rather than a one-day style
• Soft body, loose wave, more defined wave, curl, or customized volume
• Clients willing to discuss chemical history, home care, and grow-out before booking

• Consultation before the chemical service
• A review of starting texture, condition, haircut, chemical history, and realistic pattern
• A customized curl, wave, or body goal rather than a guaranteed copy of a reference

A perm changes the pattern you style and grows out with your natural texture. Home care, drying, haircut shape, condition, and future chemical services all affect how it wears.

Your hair or scalp isn't healthy, your chemical history is unclear, the desired result isn't possible with where we're starting.

• Bring realistic references on similar hair length and density.
• List every recent color, lightening, perm, relaxer, smoothing, or home chemical service.
• Disclose breakage, scalp sensitivity, and your usual heat and styling routine.
• Do not begin a new home chemical process before the consultation.
